The type of  support product you choose to use on your Great Lengths can make quite a difference. As I have stated before, it is best to use a high-end salon product line with no  heavy oils, alcohol or silicone contained in it.

One of the most important parts of the  extension care regime is a good hair masque- I suggest everyone use a masque IN PLACE of a conditioner.  No need to buy a conditioner,  just purchase a shampoo and a masque.

You see, a masque is a treatment-a concentrated form of a conditioner, and therefore can provide much more nourishment to the extensions. The fact is,  your hair receives nutrients  and support from your body. Hair extensions do not receive any support from your body and they will endure the brunt of the abuse of styling and fiddling. So they will need the extra support an intense masque can provide. Oils simply do not do the trick-they are more of a styling aid that sits on top of the hair. Oils should be used with caution, and definitely kept to the ends of Great Lengths.

Like conditioner, a masque is applied to the mid-shaft to ends of the hair, never on the root. It would be used every time you shampoo your hair. There is generally no reason to apply a conditioner or masque to the first several inches of hair. It is newly-grown and has usually received far less abuse than that of the mid-shaft to ends..which may be as old as 5 or 6 years!  Think of everything that it has been through!

So, lather, rinse, repeat..and put your masque on!!!
